History

Our perspectives are always shifting.

What do we see from where we stand?  How does memory color the places that shape us?  Who do we become when deep within our element?

My landscapes spring from years of moving through some of the most beautiful places on Earth – the South African veld, the islands of the Pacific and Caribbean, the hillsides of southern France, the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest, the high deserts and canyons of New Mexico.

I return to my studio inspired by the colors, textures, and sensations that render each place unique, and channel that inspiration into original artwork.  My process combines observation and memory alike, as I work in oil paint and digital technology to create new spaces, imagined landscapes that I invite you to traverse.

Each piece is printed on ChromaLuxe aluminum for maximum color, light, and depth of field, and mounted on an inset 1/2″ panel that allows the image to float cleanly away from the wall.

Thank you for your interest in my work. May your road take you to good places.
